Description Julien Allanos (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-26 14:20:50 UTC
Hello,
I'd like to warn you that there are some errors in the x86 faq.

1-When updating a package using emerge or ebuild, how do I avoid clobbering my
config files?

"A useful tool for examining and updating any protected config files is
etc-update, currently obtained by emerge app-admin/gentoolkit."

I think etc-update isn't part of gentoolkit anymore, but is part of the portage
package.

2-Where can I report bugs?

"You can also visit us in #gentoo on the OpenProjects IRC network."

The OpenProjects link leads to a "for sale" page. I think freenode is the
current irc network.

3-Same remark for the last question of the FAQ.

Reproducible: Always

it seems that the irc server link to freenode (for my third remark) is ok, but above the link is still for openprojects, which is wrong.

Fixed. Thanks for the feedback!
