Description thewtex 2007-11-24 04:20:14 UTC
k3b needs the 'sndfile' use flag on in addition to the 'flac' use flag to burn .flac files to an audio cd. Otherwise, k3b crashes with

KCrash: Application 'k3b' crashing...
KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge k3b -sndfile (default)
2. try to a Free Lossless Audio Codec .flac file to an audio CD
3.

Actual Results:
crash

Expected Results:
should work if flac flag enabled

Are you using k3b-0.12.17? If so, please try a newer version because I can't reproduce your problem with 1.0.4.

I was using k3b-0.12.17. I tried k3b-1.0.4 and it worked fine.

Thanks

You're welcome. Should anyone else suffer from this, please update to 1.0.4, too, which is going to go stable soon anyway.
