Description Max Kalika (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-26 11:18:46 UTC
A new nforce unified driver has been released by nvidia for some time. There are two
very minor tweaks that need to be applied to the current nforce-net ebuild to be able
to install the new version. I'll also be submitting a whole new ebuild for the
nforce-audio driver that nvidia now ships with this new unified driver package. In any
case ... here's the patch for nforce-net:

first copy the existing to nforce-net-1.0.0256.ebuild, then apply the attatched patch.

I'd say this could be closed, but it seems that the developer who committed the new ebuild (Daniel Ahlberg <aliz@gentoo.org>) hasn't seen this bug report. There's still a dodoc README line in the new nforce-net ebuild. I know it's not a big deal, but I like correctness and attention to detail -- there is no README file in the archive:

# tar tvfz /usr/portage/distfiles/NVIDIA_nforce-1.0-0256.tar.gz | grep README
#

A simple dodoc ${S}/ReleaseNotes.html or dohtml or somesuch should take care of this.
