Description Benjamin Herr 2007-11-21 07:48:06 UTC
Trying to connect to my jabber server at jabber.0x539.de causes a segfault either immediately after entering my password, or after interacting in any way with the "invalid certificate, view/accept/cacel" dialog.

output of gdb pidgin/bt full

pidgin was emerged as by CFLAGS="-O0 -ggdb" FEATURES="splitdebug" emerge pidgin, then executed by gdb pidgin 2>&1 | tee pidginlog, run, then bt full was issued when the segfault happened.

2.2.2 no more in Portage; update, see if still happens, and close if not any more :)

Thanks.

BTW: a new pidgin is out since 1st july, and this seems a very impotant update; all versions <2.4.3 seem to be broken now.
Comment 3 Benjamin Herr 2008-07-10 10:39:41 UTC
The segfault does indeed not seem to occur anymore with the current version in portage.
