You should also mark stable media-tv/freevo-1.7.3 dev-python/kaa-base-0.1.3-r1 and dev-python/pynotifier since they have been out for quite some time and there is no bugs around for them. Actually freevo-1.7.3 is much stabler that 1.7.2 since it fix many bugs of that version. I Tryed freevo-1.7.4 by simply renaming the ebuild for 1.7.3 and it seems to work quite nice.
As a sidenote: this version should fix the issue with twisted-2.5....
Please add an ewarn to run freevo convert_config /path/to/local_conf.py (with -w option to actually write something) to update the config file since there are many changes in the modules.
After few days of testing freevo 1.7.4 seems more stable and reactive than 1.7.3 (that was more stable than 1.7.2). It should definitively go into portage (renaming the ebuild just works).

Does it mean it won't work anymore? Also, are you aware whether the recordserver still works with the old twisted versions? I can't test that as I use freevo soleley for playback. Tested the version and prepared the ebuild for commit after I figure out the correct new deps.

I'm sure now eve encodingserver doesn't use anymore old and deprecated twisted class twisted.internet.app: the command #grep "internet.app" \ /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/freevo/helpers/encodingserver.py produces no output, and encodingserver starts without crashes with twisted 2.5 and twisted-web-0.7: worksforme, dependancies can be rollbaked to >=twisted-2.4 and >=twisted-web-0.6
