I would like to clean up vanilla sources a bit without dropping anyone's last stable version. Please test and stabilize this version if able so we can clear out some older versions. Thanks everyone.
I don't believe sparc uses any vanilla-sources from the 2.4.xx series. We do still provide sparc-sources-2.4.34, but we intend to phase out support for it soon, too. We no longer officially support any systems which require a 2.4.xx kernel (although this is fairly recent: until about 7 months ago, we did need a 2.4.xx kernel on one of our more popular sparcs (U2)). I'm leaving sparc on the CC list so that someone can correct me if I have it wrong, but unless you hear differently from someone, sparc has no interest any more in the vanilla-sources-2.4.xx kernels.
Wow, this is ancient. x86 stable
Gentoo/Alpha has decided to stop supporting 2.4 so feel free to remove the latest alpha stable mark and leave the rest as ~alpha. Thanks.
As no one has objected to Ferris' comment "sparc has no interest any more in the vanilla-sources-2.4.xx kernels." I will keep the ~arch keyword and clean up the old 2.4 kernels keeping only 2 or 3 old versions. Thanks, everyone.
