Description Jochen Schlick 2007-11-15 22:19:39 UTC
1) added support for dietlibc with a new use flag "diet"

2) added a patch to set the MAX_HEADER_LENGTH to 2048. The old value is 1024 which was to low for some applications like prewikka (web front end for Prelude)

Reproducible: Always

MAX_HEADER_LENGTH patch

the diet useflag was in use some years ago and will not be readded. i don't remember the exact reason for removing it, but it wont be reintroduced AFAICT.

you may however still try to use dietlibc as forced dependancy...
ie. dietlibc support without the use flag

no problem for me !

but I think at least the MAX_HEADER_LENGTH patch is useful.

Can this bug be closed then as WONTFIX or something similar? Or are there other plans for the patch?

the bug is still open for the above feature request... i suppose.

well - upstream appears pretty dead. if you can get the MAX_HEADER_LENGTH patch applied upstream, we will gladly bundle it, but with an dead upstream the burden of maintaining this extra patch is IMHO too high...
sorry.
