what hal version are you using?

are you in the plugdev group? Well, anyways maybe we need to wait for the new hal in portage to have this solved. It works fine for me with the new version.
I am in the plugdev group, KDE automounting via HAL works fine, perhaps I'll unmask and try the new version.
Seems the issue is permissions on /usr/share/config perhaps kpowersave should install its configs somewhere else?

The /usr/share/config is world readable and user is in oplugdev group. HAL version is 0.5.9.1-r3 And still I have the same problem: listed above startup errors, and "Cannot find any schemes" message appearing whenever I try to configure kpowersave.
