i dont actually use this thing ... take it if you want it

I don't use it either :)
Comment 3 Andrey Falko 2007-12-11 17:25:15 UTC
I tried making an ebuild for this package, but it seems to need a much older version of rpm. Newer 4.4.x and 5.x don't package the same headers files as it accepts.

Andrey Falko: I assume you actually USE deltarpm? Please test out attached ebuild and I will add it because I have no clue how to use this app. It compiles for me ;)

deltarpm-3.4
Comment 6 Andrey Falko 2008-06-04 05:00:54 UTC
It creates deltarpms and applies them without trouble for me. makedeltaiso gives me a segfault. deltarpm-3.3 also segfaults (this think this might be an upstream bug).

The ebuild does not work with rpm5 (failed on compile), but it is masked, so it should is not "a problem".

I will test more and let you know if something else does not work.

Ok, I could require <=rpm-5 ? rpm doesn't have a maintainer either so I doubt much will get fixed with that.

Comment 8 Andrey Falko 2008-06-06 00:53:49 UTC
Yeh, require <=rpm5. Many packages have yet "sync" with rpm5. thanks for the deltarpm-3.4 ebuild.

Great, thanks for your testing. I'll get to it hopefully early next week.

In CVS, thanks for your help in testing!
