Comment 4 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-14 18:19:05 UTC
 * package x11-libs/qwt-5.0.2-r1 NOT merged
 *
 * Detected file collision(s):
 *
 *      /usr/lib64/libqwt.so
 *
 * Searching all installed packages for file collisions...
 *
 * Press Ctrl-C to Stop
 *
 * x11-libs/qwt-4.2.0-r1
 *      /usr/lib64/libqwt.so

File collision with slotted version, can't be marked stable.
Comment 5 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-14 18:24:35 UTC
amd64 NOT stable, add us back when it's fixed.
Comment 6 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-14 18:58:38 UTC
ok, I bumped the other slotted version to qwt-4.2.0-r3, which will not install the /usr/lib{64}/libqwt.so file to prevent the collision.

As well, if you are so inclined, you can stablize THAT version too (it's a simple bump from -r2, and it's been in portage for a while now as well).
Comment 7 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-14 19:03:57 UTC
amd64 stable, might want to add other arches back to stabilize 4.2.0-r3?
Comment 8 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-15 12:43:57 UTC
yep, but I'll open a new bug for that since there are some different arches needed for that package.

I synced this morning to find that the ~ppc keyword had been dropped.
I am currently successfully using this version of qwt on my system and
my current install is dated from the 8th of October (more than one month
ago), so can we forward this to the ppc team as well?
