Emergeing ecryptfs-utils emerges keyutils in turn. Compilation fails to find -lkeyutils Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Edit /etc/portage/package.keyword and unmask ecryptfs-utils and keyutils 2.emerge ecryptfs-utils 3.keyutils gets emerged and fails Actual Results: sundown ~ # emerge -av ecryptfs-utils These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! Now I've even managed to merge 1.2 version (but it shold be considered broken due to the fact that it's linked to *old* 1.1 lib)

Now I've even managed to merge 1.2 version (but it shold be > considered broken due to the fact that it's linked to *old* 1.1 lib) > A workaround is to oneshot the previous keyutils-1.1 and then emerge ecryptfs-utils viz: emerge -1 '=sys-apps/keyutils-1.1' emerge -av ecryptfs-utils works. The emerge does *not* try to re-emerge keyutils 1.2.
