Description Michiel Hazelhof 2007-11-05 14:39:14 UTC
When I try to build a genkernel for my livecd (inside chroot) it fails on the lvm2 tarbal (see attached log).

If I look up the lvm tarbal in /usr/share/genkernel/pkg/ everything seems right (names etc).

It also has some other errors in the end but I do not know wether they are related or not.

/usr/share/genkernel/gen_funcs.sh: line 151: kernel-debug: No such file or directory
    /usr/share/genkernel/gen_initramfs.sh: line 415: [: : integer expression expected

But everything is in the log file

Comment 2 Andrew Gaffney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-05 16:11:27 UTC
I believe this has been fixed in genkernel-3.4.9_pre5. Please try it and reopen if there's still a problem.

You want _pre6, plus there was a change I discussed with wolf31o2 for LVM2 that he has not applied yet.

Specifically, a 2s delay between vgscan and vgchange in the initramfs env, else the vgchange does not pick up the VGs.

Also, the kernel options parsing should allow both 'dolvm' and 'dolvm2'.
