Description Karim 2007-11-04 12:28:35 UTC
I emerged the new wordpress-2.3.1 then installed in my vhosts:
webapp-config -h salsa.kuroo.org -d wordpress -I wordpress 2.3.1
But I couldn't launch wordpress due to errors in wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php.
It wasn't the same file as the latest release in wordpress-2.3.1.tar.gz

Checking /usr/share/webapps/wordpress/2.3.1/htdocs/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php
showed this wasn't the latest either.

So I unmerged all 3 versions och wordpress and remerged wordpress.
That did the trick!

Reproducible: Always

kuroo wordpress # emerge -Cp wordpress

>>> These are the packages that would be unmerged:

 www-apps/wordpress
    selected: 2.2.3 2.3 2.3.1
   protected: none
     omitted: none

>>> 'Selected' packages are slated for removal.
>>> 'Protected' and 'omitted' packages will not be removed.

What did

/usr/share/webapps/wordpress/2.3.1/htdocs/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php

exactly contain? Did it belong to an older version?

Do you have a more specific idea of how it might have ended up in the "2.3.1" installation directory?
