Calendar reminders/alarms do not work if appointments are entered into the exchange based calendar. Reminders do work properly if the appointment is in a local calendar. The exchange based appointments do show the reminder icon and you can change reminder settings for those appointments but they still do not work Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create new appointment in exchange based calendar 2.Set reminder/alarm 3.Wait for alarm Actual Results: Nothing happens Expected Results: I expect a reminder pop-up just like local calendar appointments. mail-client/evolution-2.10.3 (USE flags= crypt dbus hal ipv6 kerberos ldap spell ssl) gnome-extra/evolution-exchange-2.10.3 gnome-extra/evolution-data-server (USE flags=ipv6 kerberos ldap ssl)
Can you track this upstream? There are two possibly relevant upstream bugs I found with my quick searching: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361760 with a hint that password has to be remembered for reminders to work http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436628 with some workarounds described for a different problem

If I uncheck my exchange based calendar and recheck it under Edit->Preferences->Calendar and Tasks->Alarms reminders work for that session. The workaround does not persist when Evolution is restarted.
what about 2.22.3 ?
please get back to us.
