Description Wesley Moxam 2002-04-21 12:41:38 UTC
Any browser that uses the netscape flash plugin (Konqueror, Mozilla based,
Opera) will suspend the loading of a page containing flash if an audio player
(Apollo + mpg123 in my case) is in use.

I am using usb sound. Kernel version 2.4.19-r1.

Upon closing the mp3 player, the browser will then resume loading the webpage.

Note: I was able to find a person with the same problem on google groups using
Mandrake 8.0, but I did not see a solution posted.

Not sure if we're capable of fixing this. Forwarding to verwilst for input.

This isn't something we can fix IMHO..
Try the new flash version (5.0.48), or a new kernel, maybe that will solve it..
Sorry, closing bug..

Something that I just tried was the open source flash player (http://www.swift-
tools.com/Flash/ .. I don't think there isn't an ebuild yet).

The sound problem is solved using this plug-in, although the plugin is beta and
does not display all animations correctly. However, for simple sites it seems
sufficent to do the job.
