Description Benjamin P. Keating 2003-04-22 05:21:05 UTC
in v1.2, i can enable my Linksys (LNE1000tx) with

#modprobe tulip

but with v1.4rc4 (the one im using now) I boot off the CD to get ready to
isntall and it says that it finds me NIC and is performing DHCP broadcasting to
grab info but i do a

#ifconfig eth0

and none of the information is set. So i do a;

#modprobe tulip

like i did back in v1.2 and then;

#hdcpd eth0

and still, ifconfig, brings back empty results.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Let setup run as is (just hit enter)
2. ifconfig bring back empty results
3. I do; #modprobe tulip
4. I still get nothing in ifconfig

Actual Results:
no results (no networking support)

Expected Results:
located (properly) my NIC and fill in information from dhcp server.

I also tried this with my Kingston KNE nic and the same thing happend...

rc3 however works wonderfully.
