Description Erlend Davidson 2007-10-26 20:36:02 UTC
compiz-0.6.2 doesn't work if the flat file (ini) backend is used.

Firstly compiz-start has a hardcoded dependency on gconf (bottom line of the file). Also running compiz by:
compiz --replace ini
causes a segmentation fault.

The only workaround I can see (I haven't tried kconf) is by using the gconf backend.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. With the ccsm set to use flat-file backend (.ini) run compiz-start
2. Settings are not read from the .ini file, but instead from gconf since this is passed to compiz-start
3. So now try manually running compiz --replace ini
4. Causes a segfault.
