Hi all, I wanted to update an old Gentoo server, for which I have no physical access to at the moment. Therefore I need to update the system remote via SSH. When I came to upgrade sys-apps/coreutils-6.9-r1 the sources are downloaded and extracted ok. Then the autoconfig starts, where it hangs at this line: ... config.status: creating lib/config.h config.status: executing depfiles commands config.status: executing po-directories commands config.status: creating po/POTFILES config.status: creating po/Makefile After that nothing happens any more. But I can cancel the process normally via CTRL+C. Any ideas on this? there's a bug explaining this but i cant seem to find ... basically it boils down to you hitting a bug in glibc iirc update the glibc/gcc packages first and then try everything else
