Tobias has been an alpha AT during months. He has been working really hard helping alpha team every week. A good knowledge on alpha hardware/problems and knows very well how to work in an arch team . Tobias is our development machine sysadmin and a great person to deal with, so we don't need more reasons to have him aboard. Ferdy and myself will co-mentor him. Thanks. Reproducible: Always
Name's "Klausmann" (two N) And as for nick: "klausman" will do just nicely, it's the username I'm used to ("Klausmann" truncated to 8 letters and case folded)
(In reply to comment #1) > Name's "Klausmann" (two N) > And as for nick: "klausman" will do just nicely, it's the username I'm used to > ("Klausmann" truncated to 8 letters and case folded) I was about to tell you to change it, since infra is going to kill us if we added you w/ that nick (it ain't possible either).
Standard Email-Adress (i.e. one to never expire) is of course the same as the bugzilla address sans "-gentoo". GPG key should be findable on subkeys.pgp.net without hassle. If verification of asid key (ID CE5D54E8) is needed, just send me an encrypted mail containing a challenge of some sort. SSH pubkey is: ssh-dss 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 klausman@ (I hope bugzilla keeps that one intact) Any other info you need?
Created attachment 134346 [details] ebuild added, please reopen Ebuild added, please reopen. Just my first attempt in making an ebuild. I have tested it working on amd64, should build on x86 as well. According to the program's site this is the last version available. A stable version should come soon. Source code is available only through svn.
truly mortified for missing the right bug id please delete last message, sorry.
(In reply to comment #3) > Any other info you need? Yes, please talk to your mentor about http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/recruiters/mentor.xml#doc_chap2 Denis.
I've sent the completed quiz to recruiters@ and CC'ed ferdy and yoswink on Nov 24th. Armin asked me to note this here in the bug.
(In reply to comment #7) > I've sent the completed quiz to recruiters@ and CC'ed ferdy and yoswink on Nov > 24th. Armin asked me to note this here in the bug. I haven't received your end of mentoring quiz. Did you send it ? If you did, please, resend it to me as I seem to have lost it. Denis.
No, I didn't. Due to miscommunication and lack of time, I didn't yet get around to do so. I'll send it before 24th.
(In reply to comment #9) > No, I didn't. Due to miscommunication and lack of time, I didn't yet get around > to do so. I'll send it before 24th. OK, I thought you had sent both quizzes in and was wondering why the review didn't happen. Take the time you and your mentor need with your mentoring and end-of-mentoring quiz. I prefer this to be well done as this is an important phase. If necessary the date can be pushed back a bit, it's not carved in stone. Denis.
Sent my end-quiz answers to recruiters@ a minute ago. Sorry for being late five days, but with christmas and all, things dragged out a bit longer than I expected.
(In reply to comment #11) > Sent my end-quiz answers to recruiters@ a minute ago. Good. I'll have a look at them and will give you some feedback. In the meantime could you please prepare a tarball containing your most interesting work to look at (see last paragraph of the Training subsection at http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/recruiters/mentor.xml#doc_chap2) and send that to recruiters ? Once this is done, please contact me directly with your availability and timezone so that we can work on a schedule for the review. Denis.
We're currently in contact to schedule a review sometime early February. Denis.
(In reply to comment #13) > We're currently in contact to schedule a review sometime early February. > > Denis. > Calchan is going to be without an internet connection for an unknown amount of time so unless you want to wait for him, please contact me to schedule a review session with me instead.
Tobias has gone through review with Calchan a couple of times already. - ferdy
(In reply to comment #15) > Tobias has gone through review with Calchan a couple of times already. > > - ferdy > Ok I see that from recruiters inbox. I also saw some discussion about whether we should apply the ebuild cleanup task to arch testers. Please email me the review logs for the ebuild quiz and eom quiz so that I can verify that they were reviewed. I can then do the rest of setting up if I don't see any problems there (which is quite likely based on the mails). Sorry about the holdup and the unexpected problems on our part.
Finished the process with Tobias: What we did: - LDAP - gentoo-core - bugzilla - cvs/svn groups on cvs.gentoo.org - IRC-cloak - announcement - #gentoo-dev channel access - sent you your LDAP/mail password via encrypted mail What you need to do: - subscribe to mailing lists with @gentoo.org address - request forum status bump in #gentoo-forums or by mail to forum-mods@gentoo.org (if you have a forums count) - send yourself mail to create .maildir - add yourself to mail aliases ( like java@gentoo.org ) see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org - ask team leads to add yourself to herds.xml for the herds you want to join or do it yourself if you have the permission to do so - set lat and lon attributes in LDAP if you want others to know where exactly you are located For the mentor: - You are also responsible for the commits of your recruit during the first month so you should watch the commits of your recruit via gentoo-commits mailing list.
Requested retirement on -core. Sorry to see you go, but best wishes.
(In reply to Sam James from comment #18) > Requested retirement on -core. Sorry to see you go, but best wishes. (You have the standard 14 days to reconsider, of course, but if you ever wish to return, we make it rather easy to do so nowadays.)
