Multiple packages in xfce-* categories fail in src_test (make check) phase in same error while testing in directory po/ Upstream was not previously very intrested in these failures, but thats changed after few core packages resulted in same error during make distcheck. Pasting a possible solution here, 22:46 <kelnos|work> did you see that -- looks like removing the '()' at the end of the macro in configure.in fixes it 22:47 <kelnos|work> on the AC_INIT line - so e.g. change "libxfcegui4_version()" to just "libxfcegui4_version" 22:47 <kelnos|work> meh, that's annoying If this works, we need to go thru all ebuilds in xfce- categories with RESTRICT="test" and remove it with a patch. This bug is a place holder so I and other Gentoo Xfce developers know this situation. (DO NOT CLOSE THIS BUG!)

Everything is fixed in upstream trunk and our tree. So, now when bumping plugins hacks can be dropped. I guess there is no reason to keep this open anymore, thanks angelos for your work.
