kde-3.5.8 updates I've tried to install fail with: !!! Digest verification failed: !!! /usr/portage/distfiles/kdebase-3.5.8.tar.bz2 !!! Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size !!! Got: 24200172 !!! Expected: 2501632 Even an "ebuild /usr/portage/kde-base/kdebase/kdebase-3.5.8.ebuild unpack" fails with the same digest error. Have deleted the file and downloaded it several times with same result. The actual source is: 'http://distfiles.gentoo.org/distfiles/kdebase-3.5.8.tar.bz2' Reproducible: Always
Works fine here... Perhaps, try re-downloading it now. (In reply to comment #0) > kde-3.5.8 updates I've tried to install fail with: > > !!! Issue confirmed. (In reply to comment #1) > Works fine here... Perhaps, try re-downloading it now. When did you sync? I just commited new Manifests to (hopefully :) fix this issue.

Maybe the mirrors haven't picked up the new manifests yet.

But according to bug 196491, they have hit the mirrors by now. Please emerge --sync again and re-open if it doesn't resolve this issue for you.
