Description Marco Clocchiatti 2007-10-19 03:00:33 UTC
games-kids/gcompris-6.5.3-r1 failes to compile without media-libs/nas installed, but media-libs/nas is not in dependency tree.

installing media-libs/nas gcompris compiles fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -C nas
2. emerge gcompris

no problems with games-kids/gcompris-8.4 (~x86)

No, it's your system. It builds fine here without nas installed.
Try emerge --newuse -vuD world and revdep-rebuild.

ok. probably this bug should be marked as invalid.
for me it's not a problem.

anyway, emerge -uDpvN world shows no packages to merge.
revdep-rebuild seems ok.
I've also recompile libtool and binutils for some problem with new gcc.

but the error is the same.
what does it mean:

/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.2.2/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -laudio

?
thank you.

Attach config.log from the build directory and I'll see if anything seems odd.

Reopen with that if interested.

sorry for the delay.
now I'm using
games-kids/gcompris-8.4 and I've no time to downgrade to study the problem.

mark this bug as invalid if you like.
thank you for your support.

Ok, sounds like a plan. 8.x is a better choice anyhow. Thanks.
