Description Gustavo 2007-10-13 18:47:15 UTC
The compilation of sdl-image (by emerge) fails. It looks like it tries to use -lgpm and that this library is missing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge -1 sdl-image

# emerge -av1 sdl-image

Comment 1 Gustavo 2007-10-15 19:30:02 UTC
sdl-mixer-1.2.5-r1 seems to have same problem.
The bug was solved by emerge gpm.
Comment 2 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-15 19:51:03 UTC
No, you're libraries are out of sync with your use flags. You should do emerge --newuse -vuD world and then revdep-rebuild.

both packages build fine without gpm installed if the rest of your build environment is correct.
Comment 3 Gustavo 2007-10-16 02:25:20 UTC
Sorry to say but that didn't work for me. Running "emerge -NvuD world" just didn't emerge anything. I have just run "emerge --sync" (on monday) and also "emerge -NavuD world". Gentoo was installed on saturday.
I have also tested again, calling:
"emerge -C gpm" "emerge -NavuD world" "revdep-rebuild"
Running "emerge -1 sdl-image" doesn't work.

Well, I don't want to bother. If you want, you may just leave it this way, it is fine to me.
