hmm this patch we've had for a long time, but i now see that it was never properly enabled. working on that.

ok, but is metacity taking advantage of it? If so then I guess this bug is completely pointless.
hmmm it should.. check during compile or the so's themselves for me it is, altough it's not really noticable anymore (mainly was when the first nvidia 1.4xxx series were here and were terrible). Im adding an updated gtk+-2.2.1-r1 which should incorporate all of the patch. Give it a go.
