the livecd has two kernels: 2.4.20-xfs-r2 & 2.4.21_pre7-gss-livecd i have some spiffy SMP boxes - so i chose the smp kernel which happens to be 2.4.21_pre7-gss-livecd i also like to use XFS - and while the tools are available to me, when i tried to mount an xfs partition it said xfs not supported... ALSO to make matters worse, even if it had worked - the kernel has some serious performance problem. i tried a "hdparm -tT /dev/sda" after a "modprobe aacraid" and it got approx 20MB/s which would be good if the other kernel (2.4.20-xfs-r2) and all my other boxes (which are smp & not installed from this livecd) didn't get 60MB/s... So - if i choose the livecd smp option - i lose xfs & performance (not exactly my idea of why i would have SMP boxes for in the first place) Box configuration: 2x 2.4G Xeon, 2G RAM, Hardware RAID, ... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
In the process of working on a different second kernel with xfs support.
