vnstat does compile for 32bit on sparc. so it can not interpret /proc/net/dev values if more then 4gb were transferred. solution #1 (preferred): run make 64bit from the ebuild solution #2: wait for vnstat-1.5 which will have a atomatic 32bit/64bit counters detection

Looks like I was faster than netmon this time since vnstat-1.5 is now available and contains that already mentioned automatic 32bit/64bit counter detection along with some other useful features. :)
Moving to netmon, when 1.5 is added to the tree, and you still want a ~sparc keyword, please open a new bug.
errr, forget about the keyword thing. Netmon please bump.
vnstat-1.5 is in portage. sparc, please, test and keyword.

It already has a sparc keyword :)
