I've upgraded to openoffice-bin-2.3.0 and suddenly all exported PDFs
had their fonts b0rken. Then I've tried to export a 2.3.0-saved .odt
on another machine with openoffice-bin-2.2.1 into a PDF and that
worked fine, no probs.

We cannot fix this, you need to report upstream bugs to http://qa.openoffice.org/ooQAReloaded/ooQA-ReportBugs.html, not to Gentoo bugzilla. Post the URL here once you've done so.
