Ive completed my installation of gentoo linux and during the installation
everything worked fine, the tastatur too. in the bios and in grub the tastatur
works, but then i entered linux and the tastatur isnt detected anymore. What
can i do?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Linux
2. Start Linux
3. Try to use my tasta

Actual Results:

Expected Results:
maybe it should work ;)

sry, cant add information from emerge info cauz of my internet failure (bug#

Do you compiled usb etc. as modules?

Put required usb-modules into /etc/modules.autoload or /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel2.4.

uhci or ohci
usbcore
keybdev?
input?

If you boot with live-cd, check lsmod, which modules are loaded and sound like
keyboard ;-)

the kernel config is also at /proc/config on livecd,
this isnt a livecd bug though, as its the only thing that works :)

doesnt work.... he says "failed to load keybdev" etc while booting. i remember that he didnt find keybdev while installation too. ive checked the /lib/modules/*/kernel/driver directory, theres only a net directory and in that theres only a dummy.o module. in the installation there were more... anybody knows what to do?

ok, i found the required drivers in /lib/modules/*/build/drivers/ and copied em to /lib/modules/*/kernel/driver/ directory, but he still cant load em. can anybod tell me how to find out the searchpath for the drivers and how to adjut it?
