Want to use cyrus imapd 2.3.9 on a production system, but it's currently masked. (in particular I want to use the new replication capabilities) Are there problems with it or is it ready to go? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge cyrus-imapd Actual Results: emerges: cyrus-imapd-2.2.13-r1 Expected Results: emerge of: cyrus-imapd-2.3.9 On 20th August 2007 I asked dertobi123@gentoo.org: Out of interest what is stopping 2.3.8 being unmasked? >*shrugs* ... 2.3.9 is to be released somewhat soonish (that's been said on the >mailinglist), after some days of testing in the tree I'll unmask 2.3.9 then.
An ebuild should stay marked by ~arch for usually 30 days period. This version is 17 days in the tree, if you want, you can unmask it localy.
There is a difference between a package being marked stable and being removed from package.mask. cyrus-imapd-2.3.9 has been removed from p.mask just some days ago and therefore won't be marked stable "for a while" (read: months). Closing this one as WONTFIX for now.
