I think this does happen, if you have none of the mozilla use flags activated. (seamonkey, firefox or xulrunner) To circumvent activate either seamonkey or firefox useflag and deactivate xulrunner. Or emerge xulrunner and activate xulrunner use flag. Nevertheless, I think, that there is a dependency missing: --- openoffice-2.3.0.ebuild.old 2007-09-18 14:22:23.000000000 +0200 +++ openoffice-2.3.0.ebuild 2007-09-18 14:22:50.000000000 +0200 @@ -73,6 +73,9 @@ !firefox? Mozilla support is not mandatory, so I don't know why I should have one of those USE flags activated. This is something that should be fixed. Anyway, if mozilla support is needed, apart for worsing my opinion about OOo (even more), there should be a warning in the ebuild before it starts compiling, or a default option.

Same problem here. I don't want to enable firefox/seamonkey/xulrunner if at all possible (I don't use those browsers, and OOo is heavy enough as it is). I OOo can be compiled without this browser support (I suppose it is, and it's just a "./configure --option" away ?), please do so. If browser support became mandatory in OOo-2.3, then the ebuild would need to check the enabled use-flags, and exit if none are selected. Thanks in advance.
Building without any mozilla-variant should be perfectly fine, so that's just a plain bug. Anyway: This should be fixed now, please give the mirrors some time to catch up, emerge --sync and try again.
