Description Christian Schnarr 2007-09-11 16:37:29 UTC
I had to put =x11-drivers/xf86-video-i810-2.1.0 in my package.mask to fall back to a usable X-System. (Then working with x11-drivers/xf86-video-i810-1.7.4)
With 2.1.0 I had randomly changing screen in completely red, blue, white or other colors. Only during switching screens (strg+shift+F[1-9]) I get a blink of the desktop...
So in my opinion 2.1.0 should be masked...

Reproducible: Always

Not masked, but please do not remove it any time soon, as it is, for me, currently the only working version in the tree.

Can you test 2.1.1?

Please attach xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log from this test too.

[x] done

2.1.1 is working.
But I had to adjust the font sizes in kde to smaller one...
(12->10; 11->9; 10->8)
(the fonts in firefox were fine without this changes)

...could be a similar "bug" (my parents would say "it's a feature" ;-) to:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=182975

So my new desire would be unmasking 2.1.1 :-)
Just to free my package.keywords ;-)

We can't quite mark it stable yet, but it'll happen in the next week or two. Marking this as fixed since it works in the latest version.
