Comment 1 Maarten Bressers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-18 01:42:44 UTC
The patch that was mentioned in the lkml thread is already in Linus' tree. When 2.6.23-rc7 is released, please test with that. If you confirm then that the patch fixes the problem for you, we can backport it to genpatches for inclusion in the next version of gentoo-sources-2.6.22.
Comment 2 Mike Pagano gentoo-dev 2007-09-20 14:15:09 UTC
Vanilla-sources-2.6.23_rc7 is now in the portage. Can you please test and post the results here? Thanks.
Comment 3 Maarten Bressers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-21 15:36:33 UTC
Kovedi sent me an email (outside of Bugzilla) indicating that the patch which is in 2.6.23-rc7 works for him. We'll backport that patch and it will be included in the next version of gentoo-sources.
We'll keep this bug open until that's been released. Thanks for testing, Kovedi.
Comment 4 Maarten Bressers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-02 19:21:53 UTC
The patch that fixes this is in gentoo-sources-2.6.22-r8, closing this bug.
