should be able to work around using USE="-pda" emerge evolution or USE="-evolution" emerge gnome-pilot Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge something with evolution & pda in the global use flags (make.conf) 2. such as gnome 3. get past it because I'm not really to concerned about it using emerge --skipfirst --resume Actual Results: my lack of concern proved to be reasonable, at least to me Expected Results: that I would get back to it later my suggestion that it's a conflict was correct, by negating one use flag or the other I was able to solve the circular dependency conflict
sorry but I don't get what's your issue at all (maybe I should get some sleep but I remember not getting it the first time I saw this bug report).
I think he's claiming that USE=pda evolution has a circular dep with USE=evolution gnome-pilot. Presumably he meant USE=evo or USE=eds, since there isn't an evolution use flag. However, I can't see this. Here, gnome-pilot and gnome-pilot-conduits get merged after evolution-data-server but before evolution; asside from that, no pda-related packages seem to have a dependency on evo or e-d-s.
there is no evolution USE flag in gnome-pilot{,-conduits}
Trevor, please, tell us something. Seems that nobody here understood what issue do you have. Show us error message you have, emerge --info and try to describe the problem another time. Thank you.
