When emerging scim without useflags (-doc -gtk -kde -qt3), emerge runs through fine, but the result seems to be unusable. X tries to start scim along with every application and fails every time, causing complete hangs (window borders appear, but are never actually drawn in fluxbox), until you kill all scim related processes. Adding gtk useflag (which was missing by accident) and re-emerging scim fixed the problem. If scim needs the gtk useflag to be present (or at least one of the others), the ebuild should probably refuse to install if they are all missing, and not install something that isn't useable anyway. Reproducible: Always
fixed in scim-1.4.7-r2
