Description Dirk Heinrichs 2003-04-11 08:21:44 UTC
When emerging graphviz 1.9 (because of doxygen), I get lots of linker errors when linking
libdotneato (see attached logfile excerpt).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge graphviz
Actual Results:
See attached logfile.

Expected Results:
emerge should finish.

Portage 2.0.47-r10 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.2, glibc-2.3.1-r4)

Can't reproduce bug. USE flags contain both X and gnome and still emerge completes successfully. This bug probably needs to be closed
Comment 3 Patrick Kursawe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-08-04 23:56:16 UTC
Dirk, are you able to reproduce the bug?
Comment 4 Dirk Heinrichs 2003-08-05 01:18:17 UTC
Yes and no.
Yes, on the same machine where I first had the problem.
No, on a machine where I just started installing Gentoo.
Comment 5 Patrick Kursawe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-08-05 01:33:28 UTC
Could you please re-emerge jpeg on the machine where you have the problem? Which version do you currently have installed there?
Comment 6 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-08-23 14:57:41 UTC
Dirk?
Comment 7 Paul Slinski 2003-08-24 07:46:10 UTC
Rebuilding jpeg works here (as the graphviz build failed before).

media-libs/jpeg-6b-r3
media-gfx/graphviz-1.9

Comment 8 Dirk Heinrichs 2003-08-24 23:47:06 UTC
Sorry, overlooked Patrick's comment.

I have jpeg-6b-r3 installed. Re-emerging it solved the graphviz problem.

Bye...

Now I'd really like to know if libjpeg was replaced by some other package or if for some reason the lib was broken before... a bit late to find that out. I'll set this to NEEDINFO, perhaps someone else with the same problem will show up who can check this.
