Description Dany Veilleux 2003-04-11 06:39:42 UTC
When I do emerge gnome, I got the following error:
Calculating dependencies -!!! Error merging
/usr/portage/app-text/docbook-dsssl-stylesheets/docbook-dsssl-stylesheets-1.77-r2.ebuild:
invalid dependency in:

'>=sgml-common-0.6.3-r2 app-text/sgml-common'

I tried emerge rsync to be sure that I'm updated, I installed sgml separatly and
it works fine but I still got this error.

I'm newbie with gentoo but I really would like to have gnome quicly. :) (I hope
it is not a code 19)

Not really a gnome problem, but docs.

It works fine for me, so it might just be a portage cache problem (?)

Note that the smgl-common dep is there twice and one (the one coming from the eclass) misses the category identifier.

Ok, can I try to remove the one from eclass? If yes, how can I do it? what is the path for it?

Hello,

I don't know who to do it but you can close this bug.

The fix was to put app-text/ in the dep file of doc-dsss....

Once I did this, it worked.

i have fixed the eclass to include the category, to be on the safe side. Might have been an older portage version that triggered this or something (?)

guess this can be closed now.
