Description Harm Geerts 2007-09-04 12:24:32 UTC
Ebuild for the getlive script that fetches e-mail from your hotmail account.
Including an example config to get people started.

Version 0.53 no longer appears to work. This can be fixed by renaming the ebuild to getlive-0.54.ebuild to use the latest version.

Latest getlive version available, it works fine for me. I added procmail to dependancy.

Latest ebuild for getlive

Getlive recently stopped working and has been fixed. I have found that this version works fine. Could somebody get rid of gotmail - it hasn't worked for ages.
Comment 8 Robert S 2008-11-06 10:54:10 UTC
Getlive has stopped working again. The getlive page says:

"I believe the current CVS drop should be as good as fully operational.
Do not forget :
- You have to go once manually through your email account (and ask it never shows the 'changed' page again)
- You have to include 'mode=200810' in your config."

You can download the CVS version from http://getlive.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/getlive/GetLive/ - simply replace /usr/bin/getlive with the one from the CVS. I haven't done an ebuild - probably an updated "stable" version of getlive will be released.

Is anyone planning to create an ebuild for this?

(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug)
'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached
to this bug.
This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the
main tree.
Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild.

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)

Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us.
We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time.

Thanks,
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Jeremy.

Now that hotmail has turned on pop access, these screen-scraping programs are no longer needed.
