hi everybody, I'm using a speedlink webcam sl-6820 with the gspcav1 driver. It was fine with kernel 2.6.21-gentoo-r4. Now i went to 2.6.22-gentoo-r5, re-installed gspcav1, but gqcam fails immediately like this: # gqcam -v /dev/video1 Error reading image... Gleitkomma-Ausnahme ("Gleitkomma-Ausnahme" is german for "floating point exception") I emerge -C'd and re-emerged both media-video/gspcav1 and media-video/gqcam several times, with the same result. I'm unable to get a picture from gqcam, while camorama works fine (tested by using qc-usb as driver on 2.6.23.1) other media-video devs, what do you think, is it time for this to die? used to popular program, just like xmms. ;-)

media-{sound,video,graphics} is cleaning, porting remaining apps in bug 214788. for this application, if no port appear we should at least wait until cheese from new gnome is stable (new gtk+-2 webcam software) as addition to current media-video/camorama so we have alternatives to provide. thoughts?
