Currently, default value for RC_TTY_NUMBER in /etc/conf.d/rc is set to 11, this makes console 12 not work with utf8 by default (after starting keymaps service). This console is used, for example, when syslog is configured to drop logs here, and gnome (and others) leave utf8 messages here that are not properly shown if RC_TTY_NUMBER is not set to 12 Thanks a lot Reproducible: Always

Can you please apply this to baselayout-1*? It is still valid and seems that baselayout-2/openrc won't go stable any time soon (or not that soon...) Thanks
