Description Kevin Haddock 2007-09-01 03:09:06 UTC
app-emacs/emacs-w3m can be installed with xemacs without the mule extension/use flag which returns the following error when M-x w3m is invoked:

(1) (error/warning) Error in process sentinel: (void-function coding-system-p)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set -mule in USE variable in /etc/make.conf
2. emerge xemacs; emerge app-emacs/w3m
3. launch xemacs; M-x w3m

Actual Results:
(1) (error/warning) Error in process sentinel: (void-function coding-system-p)

Expected Results:
browse to page that is in variable w3m-home-page

The problem is you have XEmacs and you try to use app-emacs/emacs-w3m...that won't work, as the app-emacs category is for GNU Emacs. Please try app-xemacs/w3, which should do as you wish, and report back if that solved your problem. Thanks for bug reporting anyway.
