Description Eric Brown 2007-09-01 00:40:20 UTC
This is an ebuild for the realtek 8136 chipset (RTL8101E). I wasn't sure where it should go in the portage tree, so i chose net-misc. This driver is not the same as the 8139 etc in the kernel tree.

According to the comments in the .c files, it's GPL-2.

Reproducible: Always

This is the ebuild for the kernel module.

Yeah, it's not the same, but could you clarify why should we maintain an external driver for something that's supported by kernel?
Comment 3 Eric Brown 2007-09-13 01:52:36 UTC
It isn't supported by my kernel (latest hardened-sources). Are you sure it's supported by yours?
Comment 4 Bartosz Szreder 2009-09-09 00:35:19 UTC
This is out of date, r8101 is suported by r8169 driver in official kernel.
