Been in portage more than 30 days, no open bugs, works for me on x86. Not sure about other arches.

Reproducible: Always

done.

Does the ebuild accommodates automatic updates upstream?

There is a 2D graphic bug in build 70707 (the current version on the gentoo mirrors) with ATI cards that was fixed in build 70801. The game devs automatically update the file on their downloads page, and use the same filename, i.e. they don't include the build number on the filename.
Since the ebuild also includes the download from the main website, Digest failures happen if the Manifest is not updated.

Can you think of a fix for this?

Thanks

Your question really belongs elsewhere, but Gentoo policy is that we either find a versioned download or we start versioning it ourselves. Upstreams that don't use versioning on their tarballs make our lives a living hell.
