The same problem here.
I found that as a workaround it is possible to compile ntop if the snmp USE flag is removed.
I had the same issue, but I noticed at the start of the emerge that there is a note about the snmp plugin being under development. Disabled snmp support in ebuild now, this really should be fixed upstream
unfortunately, simply removing the use line isnt enough ... the configure script with automagically detect support, so an explicit disable is needed (which ive added)
Also please remove/comment out this from DEPEND: snmp? ( net-analyzer/net-snmp )
