Description Fabian Henze 2007-08-27 12:01:30 UTC
Please use a uniform naming-scheme for drivers in the tree. Some drivers are named *-driver others *-drivers.
eg.
alsa-driver & hostap-driver
ati-drivers & nvidia-drivers

Reproducible: Always

$ eix --only-names "driver[s]?$"
app-doc/linux-device-drivers
app-misc/glcdprocdriver
dev-db/libdbi-drivers
dev-embedded/parapin-driver
media-libs/moodriver
media-sound/alsa-driver
net-wireless/hostap-driver
x11-drivers/ati-drivers
x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers
$

I think that *drivers is better.

If you want this done, then suggest this at gentoo-dev mailing list and get this accepted.
