A conf.d file has been introduced in net-misc/vpnc-0.4.0-r4, which is ~arch everywhere.  Patch to follow.

That version needs to be stabilized though; it's not good practice to recommend users install ~arch packages. Is there an ETA on when that version will go stable?

 Yes, sure.  I just wanted to make sure we keep track of this change.  As we bothered arch teams with three stabilisations already of the 0.4.0 series, I want to wait for 0.5.0 which has been tagged for release, but upstream wants more tests to be done.  As 0.5.0 will bring a lot of benifit for Gentoo (simplifies the ebuild a bit), I will wait for that version.

0.5.1 will include important amd64 build fixes, so we postpone it even more.
