Hello I updated openoffice-bin from 2.0 to 2.2. The application opens and the menu fonts look bigger than in the older version. Also they look a bit more fuzzy, with an annoying shadow around them. Other applications (firefox, konqueror, kpdf ) look normal and same as before. My desktop session is KDE 3.5.7 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: [ebuild R ] app-office/openoffice-bin-2.2.1 USE="gnome kde -java" LINGUAS="el en -af -as_IN -be_BY -bg -br -bs -ca -cs -cy -da -de -dz -en_GB -en_ZA -eo -es -et -fa -fi -fr -ga -gl -gu_IN -he -hi_IN -hr -hu -it -ja -km -ko -ku -lt -mk -ml_IN -mr_IN -nb -ne -nl -nn -nr -ns -or_IN -pa_IN -pl -pt -ru -rw -sh_YU -sk -sl -sr_CS -ss -st -sv -sw_TZ -ta_IN -te_IN -tg -th -ti_ER -tn -tr -ts -uk -ur_IN -ve -vi -xh -zh_CN -zh_TW -zu" 0 kB

There's nothing we could do about openoffice-bin, sorry. http://qa.openoffice.org/ooQAReloaded/ooQA-ReportBugs.html
My system after the upgrade is using libfreetype.so.6.3.15. I tried to start up OpenOffice using libfreetype.so.6.3.8 (by setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH to load the older library). The menu fonts of oowriter got smaller and (maybe) less fuzzy. Could this change of fonts be a libfreetype issue?
