It seems to work fine here. Tested with USE="audacious cursors gdm icons nautilus", I can't test kde nor kdm use flags. Please, take a look at this. Thanks.

Sorry, but I get 404 for this file. Please reopen with new version of patch (with fixed location).

None taken - it's just how the package works.

No, it works ok, does it's purpose. Removing it just because it's ugly (or there's a lot to do) sounds bad to me.
