Description Bardur Arantsson 2002-04-18 02:31:28 UTC
When installing tetex-1.0.7-r8, a lot of files have their owner set to 501.501.
This is caused by the tarball containing (incorrect) permission information.
The attached patch to the ebuild fixes up the permissions after unpacking.

I have been fighting with this one for a while. Your solution is a good
solution, but it makes me uncomfortable, though I do not know why. sorry for
the double negative conjunctions there.

I am still researching this. Thanks for your suggestion :)

OK, it turns out your suggestion was indeed the one I went with. However, there
is a gentoo function for use in the ebuilds called `fowners' and that is what I
used.

But, you thought of the solution, so the credit, my friend, is yours.

Thank you for the fix :)
