Description Steve L 2007-08-21 08:15:44 UTC
vapier mentioned something about needing RPATH or summat and a more accessible directory iirc. finfo is the only thing greycat came up with when I asked him for his wish-list for bash (he put it as stat syscall info iirc.) twkm mentioned there was an extension, and apparently it's compiled on Gentoo, but it's a pita to access from scripts (even if there is a standard ugly one-liner.)

If it were accessible as standard (along with the other compiled modules) it would enhance Gentoo's bash platform immensely, imo.

[I wanted to put this in Core System jakub but it said kernel and sys-*]

Reproducible: Always
