Thanks, Michael!

As discussed on IRC, please take up the issue of kradview crashing when trying to load a DICOM image in an unsupported format with upstream. kradview correctly detects the format, says it's unsupported - and crashes. That's totally inacceptable in my book.

Any news about this?
Comment 4 michael@smith-li.com 2007-09-24 04:37:59 UTC
Sadly, no, I contacted upstream and haven't received any response. I think you should close this bug as UPSTREAM and I'll reopen if upstream is, in fact, working on this project.

If not, maybe I'll find another FOSS DICOM viewer elsewhere.

:(

Well, I'll take a look at the sources to see if I can come up with a patch that prevents the crash at least. I'm going to leave this bug open for now.

Yes, I'll do that now - this thing has even more problems, is broken and seems to be abandoned.

There i s a new version http://www.orcero.org/irbis/kradview/kradview-1.1.0.tgz
But it seems 0.6.2 ebuild does not work for 1.1.0 :(

1.1.0 is also only for Qt3 and KDE3, so don't waste your time with it...
